On August 13–14, one of the leading national orchestras, the State Academic Chamber Orchestra of Russia under direction of Alexey Utkin, will perform at the popular Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival. The concert is included in the program of the international cultural project "Russian Seasons" in Germany.
On August 13, compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart are to be performed at the Great Hall of the Elbe Philharmonic in Hamburg: “Orchestral Suite No.1 in C major, BWV 1066”, “Violin Concerto in A minor, BWV 1041”, “Concerto for Violin and Oboe in C minor, BWV 1060R” (Bach), “Symphony No.29 in A major, K.201” (Mozart). Daniel Lozakovich (violin) and Alexey Utkin (oboe) will be soloing in the performance.
On August 14, this program will be presented at the Kuhstall space in the village of Pronstorf, located 12 km from the city of Bad Segeberg. This is a place with a unique amosphere that regularly hosts music concerts.
For Daniel Lozakovich, the Bach's Concerto in A minor was the first composition for violin that he heard. At six, the boy decided to become a violinist. Today, 18-year-old virtuoso Daniel Lozakovich is a winner of prestigious competitions in Europe and the USA, a winner of the I Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition in Ufa.
The State Academic Chamber Orchestra of Russia (or Moscow Chamber Orchestra) was created in 1957 at the Moscow Philharmonic Society by the celebrated violist, violinist, and conductor Rudolf Barshai, to become the first chamber ensemble of this kind in the Soviet Union. Today it is one of the leading chamber orchestras in Russia, and its vast repertoire incorporates compositions of all epochs and styles. The orchestra gives 100-150 concerts yearly.
In 2010, a professor at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory Alexey Yurievich Utkin, oboist of international stature, succeeded the position of the orchestra's Art Director. Thanks to him, the oboe entered the stage as a solo instrument.
Alexey Utkin plays the unique instrument F.LOREE (Paris), which is one of the most respected oboe manufacturers in the world.
