On November 8-11, 2019, the State Academic Siberian Russian Folk Choir at the "Eurasia" Concert and Theatre Centre (Novosibirsk) will tour Germany. Concerts of one of the Russia's leading professional companies will be given as part of the "Special Folk Edition" Festival of Russian national folk ensembles and the international cultural project "Russian Seasons" in Germany.
On November 8-9, the performances will take place at the Russian House for Science and Culture in Berlin, on November 10-11, at the Evangelical Church and the Waldorf School in Potsdam.
Siberian Russian Folk Choir is one of six Russian national teams taking part in the "Special Folk Edition" Festival under the auspices of "Russian Seasons". To the German public, the choir will present a concert program "Siberia, the Pearl of Russia" which will amalgamate historical artistic pieces with contemporary ones.

Siberian Russian Folk Choir was established as a female song and dance company on the threshold of the Soviet people's Victory over Nazi Germany in the spring of 1944. The ensemble's first official performances took place on May 1945.
For the substantial contribution to the preservation, development, and presentation of the best examples of the native cultural heritage, the State Siberian Russian Folk Choir is awarded with the 'Academic' honorary title. The Choir is a member of both the Russian Union of Concert organizations and the Union of Russian National (Folk) Professional Artistic Companies of the Russian Federation; it regularly participates in Russian and international festivals. The company's touring map encompasses over 50 countries.
The Choir repertory features over 500 singing compositions, 200 dance acts, 50 original orchestral arrangements, 15 vocal and choreographic productions for the choir, ballet, and orchestra. Its collection of stage costumes numbers over 1500 outfits.
The Choir is comprised of 80 professional artists: the choir and ballet troupes, and the orchestra. The Choir is led by its Art Director, Honored Artist of Russia Nikolai Lugin, Head Choirmaster Oksana Gorshkova, Senior Choreographer Vladimir Perlin, and Senior Conductor of the orchestra Alexander Savin.
State Academic Siberian Russian Folk Choir is the Novosibirsk Oblast definite hallmark.
On April 19, 2019, the company celebrated its 75th Anniversary.
